We are seeking applicants for the challenging and dynamic role of Store Manager.

We are seeking a self-motivated, results driven and experienced individual to lead the day-to-day operations of our business with a primary focus on increasing turnover, maximising profitability and delivering an outstanding customer experience. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys balancing operational excellence with people management and customer service. Ideally, this role is suited to someone with a sound working knowledge and experience in the clothing retail industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

      Determine what products to sell, identify core sellers and remove products that do not sell.

      Ensure stock levels are adequate and appropriate for each season; accounting for high and low periods.

      Lead by example to ensure outstanding customer service experience and engagement.

      Manage staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, mentoring and initiating required performance reviews.

      Maintain high retail standards throughout the store internal and external, including cleanliness, organisation, and stock presentation.

      Meet and actively manage labour, sales and margin goals.

      Monitor store performance data, providing feedback and guidance to the team to meet targets.

      Manage the store’s operational budget and adapt the pricing structure, ensuring compliance with sales and expense targets.

      Participate in the development of the annual budget and long-term strategic planning for labour, operating expenses and capital spending.

      Monitor employee performance and effectively recommend HR action such as hiring, firing, layoff, promotion, demotion and disciplinary action.

      Maintain confidentiality concerning associates, store sales and Company information.

      Prepare the weekly sales and labour projections and analysis of sales trends for the Queenstown store to maximise sales and profits.

      Liaise with local organisations to collaborate on events, promote sustainability and maximise store exposure.

      Manage content posting, ensuring consistent, on-brand posts and campaigns for the local market.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

      Proven experience and strong working knowledge of the retail sector, with the ability to operate confidently at management level.

      At least two years of relevant experience or a relevant diploma-level qualification.

      Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and support team members to perform at their best.

      A proactive, self-motivated approach with sound decision-making skills.

      Excellent communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused mindset.

      The ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

This role has a minimum of 30 hours per week guaranteed.

The pay rate is $30-$35 per hour.
