Maintenance Technician – Christchurch

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join a busy sawmill in Harewood, Christchurch.

This is a short-term role for 3–6 months, with the potential to move into full-time employment for the right person.

Pay rate is $30–$32 per hour.
Work is Monday to Friday with a half day Saturday.
You will be the third member of the maintenance team, so hours and days are slightly negotiable.

The role focuses on machine maintenance and preventing breakdowns to keep production running. You will be responsible for repairs, fault finding, and general maintenance work.

Ideal experience includes machine maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a strong mechanical background. A repairer or mechanic who understands how machines work and how to prevent shutdowns will also be considered.
