Maintenance / fabrication engineer required for a modern sawmill based in Rolleston.

This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic skilled engineer to be part of our continuous improvement process. Join the engineering team to maintain and improve our equipment and processing capabilities.

A suitable applicant will have;

  • A minimum of Engineering Trade Certificate or similar qualification.
  • Proven experience in a maintenance role with fabrication skills and some machining skills.
  • Experience with modern sawmill equipment would be an advantage but not essential.
  • An eye for detail and identifying areas for improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven Health & Safety practices as a priority.

The successful applicant will join a team responsible for maintaining a variety of processing machinery and equipment; this includes planned preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs to minimise downtime as well as improvement projects and fabrication work.

This position is only open to New Zealand Residents and New Zealand citizens.

A salary that reflects the important nature of this position will be offered to a suitable applicant. This is a full-time permanent position.
