Air Cool Ltd is seeking a skilled and reliable Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician to join our Auckland-based team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration systems for residential and light commercial clients.

This role is ideal for an experienced technician with strong practical skills and a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer service.
This position is eligible under the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) scheme.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs on mechanical and electrical components
• Conduct scheduled and preventative maintenance
• Test and commission systems to ensure correct operation
• Maintain accurate service records and reports
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, team members, and customers

 

Qualifications: A recognised trade qualification or certificate in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning will be an advantage.

 

Skills & Experience Required-

• Minimum 2 years’ relevant work experience as an Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician
• Practical experience with split systems, air conditioners, refrigeration units, and fault diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Ability to deliver quality service and ensure customer satisfaction
• Full, valid driver's license, clean driving record
