Retail Store Assistant

Job description

 We are looking for a full-time Retail Store Assistant for our renowned Indian/Asian Grocery Store in Rolleston.

We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic and organised individual with exceptional customer service. He/she needs to assist with customer purchases, price enquiries and special orders. Working in retail means that you will have to be available to work weekends/public holidays and have the flexibility to work extra hours/days when needed.

You will be working under our Store manager and along with other team members.

Job duties may include but not limited to the following:

• ·       Serving the customers with great help and making sure that they receive prompt service

·       Listening to customers to know about their queries, concerns and feedback

• ·       Advising customers about location of their preferred product, price and some general knowledge about the product
• ·       Serving and selling on cash counters to serve clients and taking payments from them.
• Face-up of store products whenever required.

·       Filling new stock into the store

·       Receiving inventory and storing/handling it properly

·       Dealing with customers and gathering feedback to improve customer satisfaction

·       Adhering to the store policies at all the times

·       Participating in stock take and stock transfers

·       Any other duties that may be asked from time to time.

Who are we looking for:
 

·       Relevant work experience OR qualification (preferred but not essential)

·       Knowledge of Asian and Indian grocery items is preferred but not essential.

·       Outgoing and encouraging personality 

·       Free from drug and criminal history

·       Passionate about the retail and long-term career in retail

·       Ability to provide at least two positive references

·       Physically fit and healthy

·       Must be available on weekends and public holidays
