Our National Support finance team is expanding, and we are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join us. This role is based at our Wiri Support Office and reports directly to our GM Finance.

Key Responsibilities

As our Financial Accountant, you will work closely with our GM Finance and Finance Manager to ensure accurate and timely reporting, high‑quality financial documentation, and ongoing process improvement.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of monthly financial accounts for allocated entities
  • Preparing the year‑end Group Financial Statements and Consolidation, including Cash Flow statements
  • Preparing and reviewing month‑end Management Accounts and Forecasts
  • Facilitating Group Audits
  • Compiling consolidated management and financial results within Group reporting deadlines
  • Reviewing and consolidating individual branch P&Ls and Balance Sheets
  • Preparing financial and business analysis reports
  • Completing variance and trend analysis with clear commentary
  • Completing and reviewing Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual Group reporting schedules
  • Supporting year‑end audit requirements and processes
  • Conducting investigative analysis to validate financial record accuracy
  • Completing GL reconciliations and supporting the month‑end close
  • Identifying opportunities to improve reporting and compliance processes
  • Providing ad‑hoc financial analysis to support strategic decision‑making
  • Delivering other financial management activities required by the senior leadership team

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism.

You will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Finance or Accounting
  • 4–5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in a large global group or listed organisation (preferred)
  • Big 4 experience (advantageous)
  • CA/CPA/CIMA/ACCA qualification or current progress toward one
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and analytical techniques
  • High proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and attention to detail
  • Strong time‑management skills and the ability to prioritise a demanding workload
  • High accuracy, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality
  • Experience in process review and improvement initiatives
  • Experience working with auditors
  • A solutions‑focused mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement
