NZ Horticulture Limited is seeking a skilled and reliable Mixed Crop Farm Supervisor to oversee daily farming operations across mixed crop production activities. This role involves supervising staff, coordinating farm activities, and ensuring crops are produced efficiently, safely, and to quality standards

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The duties include:

  • Supervising and coordinating daily mixed crop farming activities including planting, cultivating, irrigating, fertilising  and harvesting
  • Allocating work tasks and supervising farm workers to ensure productivity targets are met
  • Monitoring crop growth, yield, and quality across different crop types
  • Training, supervising, and supporting permanent and seasonal workers
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety, biosecurity, and environmental regulations
  • Identifying and reporting disease, or crop health issues
  • Maintaining records of staff attendance, farm activities, and production outputs
  • Ensuring safe and correct use of tools, machinery, and farming equipment
  • Assisting with planning seasonal workloads and labour requirements
  • Reporting operational issues and progress to farm management

 

 

 

Applicants must meet one of the following minimum requirements:

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience or a relevant qualification
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
