The Furniture Movers Limited requires full-time Furniture Removal Offsiders to support our drivers and operational team with residential and commercial furniture moving services. The role involves physical work, safe handling of goods, and assisting the driver in manoeuvring the vehicle during operations.

Key Duties

  • Assist the driver with loading and unloading household and commercial furniture.
  • Handle furniture, appliances, and other items safely using correct lifting techniques.
  • Guide the driver while reversing, parking, or manoeuvring the truck to ensure safety.
  • Use equipment such as trolleys, straps, and blankets to secure and protect items.
  • Assist in organising the load inside the vehicle to prevent damage during transit.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the truck and loading areas.
  • Communicate effectively with the driver and team members to complete assigned tasks.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety requirements and company procedures.

Skills and Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move heavy items repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Physically fit and able to perform labour-intensive tasks.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, depending on job schedules.
  • No formal qualification required; relevant work experience in furniture removal, warehousing, or labouring is beneficial but not essential.
  • Training will be provided to successful candidates.

Other Details:

·       Pay Rate: $26-$30

·       Number of positions: 4

·       Minimum 30 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours depending on operational needs up to 50-55.

Mon to Sunday with 1-2 days off, Work may involve early starts, variable hours, and weekend duties.
