We are looking for experienced Thai Cooks who will be working with our team to produce authentic Thai food. 

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of related work experience OR

  • At least a related NZ Register Diploma Level 4 qualification may substitute for the experience (overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification) OR

  • The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Thai Cook or Thai Chef) from Thailand
    AND

  • Knowledge of Thai food cooking techniques 

Job Descriptions

  • Inspecting food items to verify their quality

  • Controlling the temperature settings of ovens, grills, and other cooking appliances

  • Preparing and cooking meals

  • Adding seasoning to food while it cooks

  • Serving food by portioning it, plating, and applying sauces, gravies, and garnishes

  • Keeping food stored in appropriate temperature-controlled environments

  • Preparing meals according to specific dietary needs

  • Potentially involved in planning menus and estimating ingredient quantities

  • May also be responsible for training junior kitchen staff and apprentices

 

Other detail

  • This is a full-time and permanent position

  • Wages range from $26 to $35 per hour, depending on your skills and experience, and are paid weekly. 

  • Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law

  • Location: Based in Auckland, with work across our different branches

  • You will work according to a roster 5 - 6 days each week, with a guarantee of 30 hours (a maximum of 48 hours)
