Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role
You will be the heartbeat of our warehouse floor, managing the daily pulse of sorting, loading, and dispatch. This isn't just about moving boxes; it’s about precision. You’ll ensure trucks are loaded in sequence and by category (Meat, Veg, Chilled, Frozen, Dry), while maintaining the strict cold-chain standards our customers rely on.
Key Details:
- Position: Permanent, Full-Time
- Location: Ihumatao Road, Mangere, Auckland
- Shift Timings: Rostered 5 days between Sunday and Friday from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am
Core Responsibilities
- Supervise the distribution team and manage daily staff rosters.
- Oversee the sorting and loading of trucks by delivery sequence and category.
- Verify that all products match invoices exactly in quantity and brand.
- Monitor vehicle temperatures and keep accurate food safety records.
- Enforce safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment.
- Watch over stock during the shift to prevent loss or theft.
- Ensure all documentation is completed before the end of the shift.
Mōu | About you
- A relevant tertiary qualification.
- 3+ years in a wholesale food warehouse (food industry experience is a major plus).
- A valid Forklift License.
- Ability to influence teams, manage people, and handle stressful situations with a solution-focused mindset.
- Strong computer literacy, specifically in Excel and Word.
- A master at prioritising tasks and adapting to unplanned challenges.
