We are a liquor retail business seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Liquor Store Merchandiser.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Keeping up to date with changing market preferences and liquor trends
• Monitoring sales trends and inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained
• Reviewing seasonal and budgetary factors when planning purchasing decisions
• Assessing product popularity and identifying new product opportunities
• Liaising with suppliers to negotiate pricing, promotions, and delivery schedules
• Planning and implementing pricing, promotional, and in-store display strategies
• Collaborating with management to support long-term business growth and sales targets
• Engaging with customers in-store, processing sales, and providing product recommendations
• Ensuring compliance with relevant alcohol sale regulations and store policies
• Assisting with stocktake, inventory control, and relatedoperations as needed
Requirements:
• At least two year’s relevant experience, or a tertiary qualification (level 4 or higher), with developed skills in entrepreneurship, communication, management etc.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Comfortable using computer systems for stock management etc.
• Clear police record.
• Willing to work weekends and evenings.
Pay range: $28 to $32 per hour, depending on experience.
Hours: As this is a full-time position, you will be guaranteed a minimum 30 hours per week but will likely be required to work approximately 40 hours per week.
