Hedgehog Football Academy established in February 2022, is the first Chinese-founded youth professional football training institute, aimed to promote the healthy development of Kiwi kids aged 5 to 11.

We are now looking for a sports development coordinator to join in our team. The ideal candidate

should be self-driven and enthusiastic for this job.

 

Skills and experience needed:

• At least 2 years of working experience in similar roles, or

• A relevant NZ Level 4 qualification

• Exceptional understanding of youth football training

• Professional football coaching experience preferred

 

Job duties & Responsibilities:

• Promote and facilitate football skills development activities among young people and players with

aspirations.

• Oversee and coordinate the participation of youth and other designated groups in football activities.

• Ensure compliance with registration or licensing requirements for football programs.

• Motivate and inspire players to enhance their performance and commitment to training.

• Supervise and organize practice sessions to improve players’ skills and teamwork.

• Recruit and assemble players, coaches, and other staff to build effective football teams.

• Develop and implement training programs that cater to the needs of young players and special

groups.

• Assess and monitor the progress and development of participants in football programs.

• Foster a positive and inclusive environment to encourage participation in football activities among

diverse groups.

• Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote sports

initiatives.

• Organize and host sports events, competitions, and workshops to increase engagement in football.

• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in football coaching and development.
