Our fast-paced logistics hub in Northland, based in Kamo, Whangārei, is actively seeking two experienced Delivery Drivers (Class 2) to join the team promptly.

As a Delivery Driver at Service Foods, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive their orders on time and in pristine condition.

The job:

  • Immediate start
  • Days of work: Monday to Saturday
  • Hours: 06.00 am- 02.00 pm (depending on the run).
  • Site location: Kamo, Whangārei

The role: You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of food products to various locations across the Northland region, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the integrity of our business. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Safely operate delivery vehicles (vans and trucks) to transport goods
  • Load and unload products, ensuring they are transported securely and safely
  • Deliver goods according to customer orders on time
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
  • Provide outstanding customer service by interacting professionally with clients
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe and efficient delivery
  • Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly
  • Assist with other warehouse duties when not on delivery runs
  • Fill vehicles with fuel and report on any maintenance requirements
  • Perform daily checks – oils, coolant, WOF etc.
  • Wash and clean trucks or other vehicles when required. 

The candidate:

  • A full Class 2 driver's licence, must be able to drive a manual truck.
  • Have clear communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of the wider Northland region is desirable
  • Reasonably good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Be confident, reliable, flexible and have attention to detail
  • Clean driving and criminal records
  • Have prior NZ experience and knowledge of basic food ingredients.
  • Be physically strong and fit; should be able to lift up to 25 kg
  • Possess good organisational and time management skills
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude
  • Have reliable transport for commute
