Responsibilities of the Position

  • Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements
  • Structure examining and preparing structure timers
  • Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material to determine and organise materials
  • Ordering and selecting timbers and materials, and preparing layouts based on requirements of projects
  • Wood materials cutting and preparing
  • Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install

 

Job pre-requisites:

  • A qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 4 in a relevant field.
  • At least two years of relevant work experience may substitute for the qualification.
  • Eyes for details and a hard-working attitude.
  • Being physically fit.
  • Must not have any criminal record.
