Jumbo Seafood Albany in North Shore Auckland is now looking for a full-time Seafood processing supervisor to join us. This is a full time permanent position, you will work 30-40 hours per week on the (minimum 30 hours guarantee), with hourly rate $25.00-30.00, depends on your skills, qualification and work experience.

We open 7 days a week, please be aware that you may need to work on weekends and public holidays if required.

Key Duties include:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervise production teams, allocate tasks, and monitor performance.
  • Conduct training for new staff on processing methods and safety procedures.
  • Support a positive workplace culture and teamwork.

Production & Workflow

  • Coordinate daily production activities to meet targets for output, quality and efficiency.
  • Adjust schedules based on inventory, demand, or operational needs.
  • Identify ways to improve workflows and reduce waste.

Quality & Safety Compliance

  • Implement and enforce quality control measures and food safety procedures.
  • Monitor workplace hygiene and compliance with NZ regulatory standards (e.g., HACCP, food safety rules).
  • Maintain accurate records of production, safety checks, and personnel performance.

Inventory & Equipment

  • Help oversee inventory of raw materials and finished products.
  • Report equipment issues or maintenance needs.

Reporting & Communication

  • Produce reports on production metrics, quality observations, and staffing issues for management.
  • Communicate changes in priorities to team members.

Customer & Operational Support

  • Assist with responding to product quality feedback where relevant.
  • Support operational decision-making with factual insights.

We expect the candidates to have:

•         At least 2 year work experience in seafood processing, or a qualification in Seafood Processing at level 2 or higher

•         Flexibility to work on weekend and public holidays

•         Drug free with a clean police record
