We are seeking 2 roofers to join our team. As a roofer, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans.
  • Prepare materials and tools according to project specifications.  
  • Accurately measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials using hand and power tools. 
  • Install windows, doors, flooring, cabinets, trim, and other interior or exterior structures. 
  • Construct and install stairs, decks, patios, and other outdoor features.
  • Inspect wooden structures for damage and perform necessary repairs. 
  • Replace damaged wood in flooring, fascia, roof sheathing, siding, trims, and deck components.
  • Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
  • Follow all safety regulations and job site protocols. 
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Communicate clearly with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements.

To fit this role, you are required to:

  • Have at least one year of industrial work experience, or have a relevant qualification at NZQA level 4 or above
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and withstand varying weather conditions.
