Flexi Public Transport operates a fleet of taxi vehicles. We are seeking a Transport Company Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with transport regulations, manage drivers and vehicles, and drive service quality and growth. This is a leadership role critical to the success of our transport operations.

·      Key Responsibilities:

Oversee operations of a fleet of passenger vehicles (taxis), including scheduling, rostering, dispatch and service delivery.

·       Manage, mentor and support drivers and operational staff to deliver safe, efficient and customer-focused services.

·       Ensure all vehicles meet safety and compliance standards (Waka Kotahi, NZTA, transport licensing).

·         Maintain accurate operational records including driver logs, vehicle maintenance, incident reports and client communications.

·       Act as primary contact with internal and external stakeholders for operational matters and reporting requirements.

·       Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance standards for the transport business.

·       Monitor budgets, operating costs (fuel, maintenance, driver payments) and identify efficiencies.

·       Provide leadership to improve service quality, response times and customer satisfaction.

·       Oversee recruitment, training, performance reviews and professional development of staff.

·       Manage relationships with stakeholders, including licensing bodies, partners and service vendors.

Position Requirements:

Education & Qualifications

·       Business, Transport or Logistics qualification desirable (Diploma/NZQF level 5+ preferred) or equivalent experience in transport/operations management.

·         NZ full driver licence (Class 1) required.

Experience

·        Minimum 3 years’ relevant management/operations experience in transport, logistics or fleet operations preferred.

·         Proven experience managing people, schedules and operational processes.
