​​ Job Description

  • Positioning vehicles accurately to facilitate the loading and unloading of goods
  • Operating lifting and tipping equipment to load and unload items onto and from vehicles
  • Adhering to strict safety protocols throughout the vehicle loading and unloading processes
  • Conducting routine quality inspections on vehicles to confirm their roadworthiness and safe operation
  • Calculating approximate cargo weights to meet load restrictions and ensure proper weight distribution
  • Securing and covering goods appropriately to safeguard against loss, theft, or damage during transit
  • Validating loading documentation, inspecting the condition of consignments, and acquiring delivery confirmation certifications
  • Fulfilling other reasonable tasks as assigned by the employer from time to time

More details about the position

  • Location: Auckland
  • Job type: Full-time Permanent
  • Pay rate: 30.00 – 35.00 New Zealand dollars per hour
  • Days required: Monday to Saturday
  • Hours per week: At least 30

Job Requirement

  • Applicants must hold a valid New Zealand Class 4 Full driver's license (Mandatory).
  • In addition, applicants must meet any ONE of the following experience/qualification criteria:

 

1.      At least 1 year of experience in driving concrete mixer trucks; OR

2.      Hold a relevant New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF) Level 4 certificate; OR

3.      Hold a Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
