We are looking for a suitable Lotto (and Store) Manager for our retail store – you will be solely managing the Lotto part of the store with other staff reporting to and supporting you in your role. 

We are looking for a suitable Lotto (and Store) Manager for our  retail store – you will be solely managing the Lotto part of the store with other staff reporting to and supporting you in your role. In the absence of the Manager, you will also be completing the tasks of the Manager. You will need to have an excellent work ethic and will be prepared to have some early mornings and late nights. Ideally, you will be able to use your knowledge, skills and experience to research new ideas about how we can grow and expand our business. You will have sole responsibility for running the operations of the store.

Daily Tasks Involved in the role:
Duties are Dealing with The New Zealand Lotteries Commission, hiring, training and supervision of staff, providing excellent customer service, marketing and promoting the store, especially in relation to the Lotto aspect of the store, maintaining quality standards, budgeting, ordering and maintaining stock and creating policies for the lotto part of the store. You will also be willing and able to undertake any training provided by the Lotteries Commission and will be also happy to undergo any courses recommended or required by the lotteries commission.

We are looking for a mature staff member who are able to work on their own without any supervision and minimal training. They must be able to communicate to a diverse range of people and be able to maintain professional customer service in any circumstance.

As you will need to manage the operations of the store on your own, we require the candidate to be able do the tasks in the role with minimal training. A Diploma level qualification or at least two years’ work experience will enable you to complete the tasks of the role.

 

Due to the nature of the position, you may be subject to drug testing prior to the provision of an Offer of Employment. You must also be able to pass a police check if needed as you will also be responsible for the financial management of the store as well as stock management.

 

The minimum guaranteed hours for work for this role will be 30 hours. The minimum payrate we are offering for this role is  $29.00  and the maximum payrate for this role is $33.00.
