Busy Property Services company situated in Dannemora, Auckland is looking for 3 bricklayers to join our team.  You will be expected to work at different sites throughout Auckland region, a minimum of 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday as normal hours of work, and you may also be required to perform on weekends as well.

This is a permanent full-time role and the hourly pay rate would be $28-$30 based on candidates' experience and skills.

 

Job Description for this position

  • Laying bricks, concrete blocks, and pre-cut stone to construct and repair walls, partitions, arches, and other structures.
  • Clean and inspect surfaces for pouring issues.
  • Preparing surfaces, ensuring proper measurements, levels, and alignment.
  • Directing concrete pouring operations in collaboration with truck drivers.
  • Smoothing, levelling, and finishing concrete and brickwork using hand/power tools.
  • Monitoring weather impacts on curing and applying sealants or hardening agents as needed.
  • Installing expansion joints and polishing surfaces with power equipment.
  • Mould and construct expansion joints using joiners and edging tools.
  • Polish surfaces using a power surfacing machine.
  •  Repairing existing structures and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Note: Candidates with additional experience in concrete laying  will be highly regarded.

 

Requirements 

·       Minimum 2 years of bricklaying or concrete laying  experience

·       Have a solid understanding of health & safety regulations

·       Be available on weekends and public holidays

·       Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with good communication skills and team spirit

·        Reference letter from a recent employer verifying skills and experience

·       Must be a NZ Citizen or Resident
