Our client in Napier is looking for a qualified Halal Slaughterer to join their team. You must be a practicing Muslim and always follow all halal and safety rules.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform halal slaughter following all religious and compliance rules
  • Make sure animals face Mecca during the process
  • Say the halal prayer (Bismillah Allahu Akbar) before and during each cut
  • Use proper cutting techniques in one smooth motion
  • Sterilise your knife between each animal
  • Keep your tools and protective gear clean
  • Work closely with your team and support a good team culture

Requirements:

  •  Be of the Muslim faith
  •  Trained in halal slaughter (or willing to train)
  • Able to follow procedures carefully
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test

Job details:

  • Immediate Start
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
  • Location: Napier.
  • Pay rate: $28-$30 per hour
