PlasterPro Solution Limited specialises in interior and exterior plastering and painting services. We are driven by a passion for delivering exceptional quality to our customers. We handle both residential work right through to large commercial projects with the goal is to ensure every project is handled with care and attention to detail, leaving our customers with results they can be proud of. We are currently seeking experienced tradesmen for long-term (permanent) roles.
Key Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
Plastering, Painting & Interior Linings
● Carry out exterior plastering, sealing and painting to specification and quality standards
● Install plasterboard (GIB) and other linings to interior walls and ceilings
● Measure, cut, fit and fix plasterboard sheets accurately
● Set out and mark studs, joists and fixing points
● Work with both timber and steel stud framing systems
● Install linings around openings, corners, soffits and bulkheads
● Carry out rectification and remedial work as required to meet site and quality requirements
Plans, Systems & Site Coordination
● Read and follow construction plans, drawings
● Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion
● Perform work under limited supervision, both independently and as part of a team
Tools, Equipment & Technology
● Safely operate plastering, painting and lining tools and equipment
● Erect and dismantle basic scaffolding (under 5 metres) where required
● Use smartphone or tablet applications for job management, site reporting, photos, checklists and updates
● Take care of company tools, equipment, vehicles and property
Health & Safety
● Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
● Use PPE and access equipment safely at all times
● Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Remuneration
Pay range: $32 to $38 per hour, depending on productivity, experience, skills, and qualifications.
Work Hours
● Minimum guaranteed hours: 30 hours per week
● Normal hours of work Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 6:00pm
● Some weekend work will be required
Minimum Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
You must have either:
● At least 2 years’ relevant work experience. This may include experience in building, plastering, painting or some other relevant trade in interior lining systems or
● A relevant NZQA Level 4 trade certificate or diploma or an overseas equivalent
Further Requirements
● Must have plastering skills to a high standard, demonstrable through references or a work trial.
● Good level of physical fitness and comfortable working at heights
● Basic computer skills for using management software and apps
● Ability to use a smartphone/tablet for job management and site reporting
● Must have own set of tools
● Must have reliable transport to sites all over Auckland
● Must be able to pass a pre employment and random drug tests
● Must have a clean criminal record
● Available for immediate start and committed to a long term role
