Motor Mechanic

Our business is steadily growing. As part of our expansion, we are looking for a Motor Mechanics to join us and help us drive success while delivering exceptional service to our valued clients.

Responsibilities:

• Identifying and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues in engines and components.
• Disassembling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other parts, then inspecting these components. Reassembling engines and components after repairs.
• Repairing and replacing worn or defective parts, reassembling mechanical components, and consulting service manuals as necessary.
• Conducting scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups to ensure smooth vehicle operation and adherence to pollution regulations.
• Testing and adjusting mechanical parts post-repair to ensure proper performance.
• Using computer assistance for diagnosing and testing parts.
• Inspecting vehicles and issuing roadworthiness certificates or detailing necessary work to meet roadworthiness standards.
• Compiles vehicle records by recording service and repairs.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience, or a relevant NZQF level 4 qualification.
• Good work attitude and good communication skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to handle the heavy workload.
• Quality workmanship and eye for detail.
  

This permanent role is full-time, and you will be guaranteed 30 hours a week. In return, we offer competitive pay rates from $30-$35 per hour, commensurate with your experience and skill level.
