We are seeking experienced Furniture Maker to join our talented team in South Auckland. This is a full - time Position where you will be respomsible for crafting high quality, bespoke furniture using a range of traditional and modren techniques.
What you will be doing
- Interpret design specifications and create detailed plans for furniture
- Operate a range of woodworking equipment and machinery to fabricate furniture components
- Assemble and finish furniture to extract standards
- Collaborate with rest of the team to recommend improvements to the products and processes
- Ensure all work meets relevent quality, safety and environmental standards
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
What we are looking for
- Formal qualifications in cabnet making, furniture making, joinery or a related trade or minimum 3 years relevant experience in any type of carpentry/cabinetmaking
- Strong practicall skills and expertise in the use of hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and design specifications
- Eye for detail and a commitment to producing high - Quality, bespoke work
- Good communication teamwork skills
Hourly rate $30 - $32
Minimum Weekly hours: 30 - 40 each week, Any extra hours worked over 30 each week will be compensated at base hourly rate.
