Painting Workers

Job Responsibilities

•Prepares worksites, sanding all surfaces to remove old paint and cleaning up debris
• Preparing surfaces by removing old paint or wallpaper
• Plastering surfaces and smoothing surfaces by sanding before paints
• Apply paints and varnishes using roller and spray
• Preparing surfaces and fixing cracks and holes
• Ensure using drop sheets to prevent damage to flooring
• Use thinners and pigments to prepare required colours
• Erecting scaffolding and ladders when required
• Other construction related duties as required
•You will also have a basic knowledge of hand tools and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for 8 hours
  • Ability to lift 20 kg
  • Comfortable working in various positions, weather conditions, and heights
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Able to work quickly and accurately
  • Willingness to learn and be part of a team.
  • High standard of personal hygiene.

 

Other details:

  • Place of Work: Auckland
  • Hours of Work: Minimum 30 hours per week
  • Wage rate: NZ$28 - NZ$32 per hour
  • Qualification/Experience: A minimum 2 years experience in the construction industry or a relevant work experience is a must.
