Machine Operator Wanted
We are an well-established export company currently based in Cambridge, Waikato Region. We supply processed feathers and down to manufactures overseas. We only source and supply the highest quality products within the industry.
We are now seeking 1-2 full-time Machine Operators minimum 30 hours per week to maximum 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday to join our team.
The Machine Operators are expected to:
- - Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery
- - Operate tools in order to aid in the manufacturing process
- - Set, start and operate machines for production process includes spin, dry, feed, drying, cool down and pack
- - Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems as detected
- - Inspect finished products for defect and changes, report machine production failures and monitor conveyor lines
- - Work with others in order to ensure that equipment is in proper working order
- - Trouble shooting machinery settings and processes
- - Be able to conduct quality assurance check to make sure the product standards are met
- - Inspect parts to specifications and make adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications
- - Record how much raw material has been used during production and the number of items produced
- - Good mechanical aptitude and ability to work autonomously
- - Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations
- - Clean of equipment and area
What do you need?
- · Ideal candidates should have at least 2 years’ relevant work experience in the same field or industry; OR have a relevant NZ level 4 qualification or equivalent qualifications/certificates
- · Good eye for detail and an ability to learn fast
- · A "can-do" attitude
- · Reasonable level of fitness and willingness to work
