Looking for a solid, hands-on role where no two days are the same? We’re on the hunt for a Sawmill Operator / General Hand to join a busy sawmill team and get stuck into a variety of practical tasks.

Key Notes:
Dayshift work
Based in Harewood, Christchurch
Payrate is starting on $24.50ph + 8% Holiday pay
What you’ll be doing:
*Working across multiple areas of the sawmill to keep production moving
*Manning stations such as pull back, docking and chipper
*Operating machinery including the headrig, resaw, edger and debarker (training provided)
*Working on the green sorting table and strip stacker
*Assisting with saw and chipper knife changes
*General clean-up of the mill and surrounding areas
*Supporting maintenance tasks as needed
*Helping out across other departments on site when required

*A good team player with strong situational awareness
*Someone reliable who takes pride in doing the job properly
*Ability to work safely, accurately, and efficiently
*Willingness to learn and be trained on machinery
*Physically fit and comfortable in an industrial environment
