Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

  • Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions, and installation procedures;
  • Accurately measure, cut, and shape wood, metal, or other materials according to project requirements;
  • Operate hand tools and power tools (including nail guns), and production machinery safely and efficiently in line with operating procedures;
  • Use manufacturing drawings and technical blueprints to guide all carpentry tasks.
  • Operate production machinery in line with operating procedures and safety standards;
  • Ensure the work area is clean and tidy at all times.
  • Store merchandise in a safe manner.
  • Order and select appropriate timbers and materials, and prepare layouts as required.
  • Strictly adhere to workplace safety regulations and best practices to minimize risks and injuries.
  • Other relevant works assigned by the employer.

Teamwork:

  • Work as part of a team to create a workplace that is highly cohesive and productive;
  • Assist with a variety of projects in line with business requirements;
  • Actively participate in appropriate training, team events, and meetings;
  • Offer assistance to others as required.

 

Position Details

  • Location: Auckland
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Pay Rate: $25.00–$30.00 per hour
  • Days Required: 5–6 days per week, roster may apply
  • Hours Per Week: Minimum 40 hours

 

Job Requirements

  • At least 1 years of relevant work experience, or a Level 4 qualification in a relevant field from New Zealand, or an equivalent overseas qualification, or hold a Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
