We are looking for an experienced Painter to join our team in Auckland. This role guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours/week with competitive wage of $24.00 - $24.50/hour.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, sanding, scraping, filling cracks, and sealing surfaces to ensure proper adhesion and finish.
  • Apply paint, varnish, sealants, and protective coatings to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
  • Select and mix paints and coatings according to specifications, colour charts, and material requirements.
  • Erect and dismantle ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment in compliance with workplace health and safety standards.
  • Protect surrounding areas by covering fixtures, fittings, floors, and furniture prior to painting works.
  • Repair damaged surfaces including plaster, timber, concrete, and metal prior to coating application.
  • Interpret job specifications, work orders, and plans to determine surface preparation and coating requirements.
  • Ensure completed work meets quality standards, finish requirements, and client specifications.
  • Clean and maintain painting tools, equipment, and work areas after completion of tasks.
  • Comply with occupational health and safety regulations, including safe handling of chemicals and materials.

 

Requirement :
    • A minimum of two years of relevant painting experience
    • Physically fit as this position sometimes involves handling heavy lifting
    • Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required
    • Ability to deliver high-quality workmanship and meeting the standard and
      deadlines.
