Our Shop is a specialist retail store Auckland. We supply a wide range of cookware, gas burners, small appliances, rangehoods, and kitchenware to customers across Auckland. Our business operates 7 days a week and is supported by a dedicated team committed to providing quality products and excellent service.
As our product range continues to grow, we are seeking a Retail Buyer to support our purchasing, supplier coordination, and product selection functions.

About the Role
The Retail Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing cookware, kitchen appliances, and related retail products that align with customer demand and market trends. This role requires strong product knowledge, supplier negotiation skills, and the ability to analyse sales performance to ensure the right products are purchased at the right time and price.

Key Responsibilities
•     Research and identify suitable cookware, appliances, and kitchenware products for the store
•     Analyse sales data and customer purchasing trends to guide buying decisions
•     Source and evaluate suppliers, comparing price, quality, and delivery terms
•     Negotiate pricing and supply agreements with local and international suppliers
•     Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records
•     Monitor stock levels and forecast purchasing needs
•     Review product performance and adjust buying strategies accordingly
•     Coordinate with management on seasonal and promotional product planning
•     Ensure product selections align with customer demand and store strategy

Skills and Experience Required
•     Previous 2 experiences in related industry
Or any level 4 qualification or above
•     Strong understanding of retail product trends, especially in cookware and kitchen appliances
•     Good negotiation and communication skills
•     Ability to analyse sales data and make informed purchasing decisions
•     High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
•     Ability to work independently within a small team
•     Competency with computer systems and inventory software
