Molloy Agriculture Limited, based in Methven, Mid Canterbury, is seeking an outstanding operator to join our spraying team. Our fleet includes Isuzu and Mercedes trucks, plus modern  Bateman self-propelled sprayers with boom widths from 24 to 32 metres. With 40 years in business, we pride ourselves on delivering a high level of service to valued clients. We are looking for a motivated, hardworking, and responsible person to operate one of our sprayers.

  • 5+ Years Experience Spraying High Value Crops including Seed Potatoes

Experience: 

  • Previous spraying experience and/or an agriculture background is essential with a minimum of five years experience.
  • Knowledge of regional and district council plans
  • Knowledge of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 (HSNO), Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA), Resource Management Act 1991

Qualifications:

  • Full driving license
  • Class 2 Driver’s Licence
  • GrowSafe Certificate

Duties:

  • Operate a Bateman Self-Propelled Sprayer to high value crops across Mid Canterbury
  • Apply agrichemicals in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring a quality service to our farmers and growers
  • Uphold best practices to allow for minimal adverse effects to human, environmental and animal health
  • Conduct pre-start checks, complete safety  and vehicle logs, check in and out to On-Side at client properties and manage any associated risks and hazards.
