The Position
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to join the Toowoomba Region or Brisbane on a permanent basis. The Estimating Manager will be responsible to lead the estimating team and deliver accurate, competitive tenders for a wide range of projects. This is a key leadership role that requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines. Reporting to the General Manager and based from either Toowoomba or Brisbane this role offers a unique opportunity to grow with a thriving and award winning local business.

The Candidate
Key capabilities include:
- Oversee the preparation of cost estimates and tenders for commercial and residential projects.
- Lead and mentor a team of estimators, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and contract documents to identify risks and opportunities.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Implement and maintain estimating systems and processes for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Estimating Manager or Senior Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software specifically CostX or similar and MS Office Suite.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar
- Relevant on-site practical experience in pricing commercial projects is desirable
- Highly developed organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
- Experience in managing customer relationships including developing and maintaining
- Experience in subcontractor bills and negotiations would be advantageous.
