This is a full-time, permanent position guaranteeing at least 30 hours of work per week, though you will usually work approximately 40 hours per week.

This is a managerial position, where you will run the business operations, manage our fleet of commercial vehicles, and ensure quality and performance standards are maintained.

Responsibilities:

·                Take full responsibility for the company's commercial vehicles, organising maintenance, fuel, and ensuring they are roadworthy and compliant at all times.

 

·                Plan and implement transportation schedules to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of orders to hospitality clients.

 

·                Purchase stock from markets and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure supply consistency.

 

·                Proactively source additional product directly from growers to secure the best quality produce for our clients.

 

·                Actively work on expanding sales and growing the client base within the hospitality sector.

 

·                Maintain the Food Control Plan, ensuring all goods are stored, handled, and transported in conditions that meet quality and safety standards.

 

·                Maintain business records and complete the preparation of monthly business accounts for the directors.

 

·                Ensure strict compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and transport laws.

 

·                Direct daily operations and staff to ensure performance targets and delivery standards are met

 

·                Any other related tasks to ensure business operations run smoothly.

 

Requirements:

·                At least 2 years’ relevant/transferrable experience.

·                Excellent knowledge of food safety and dealing with fresh produce.

·                Excellent knowledge of transport and logistics generally.

·                Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations as they apply to this line of work.

·                Great communication skills for dealing with clients and team members.
