The Opportunity:

As our client enters the New Zealand market, they are seeking an experienced and well-connected insurance professional to lead local market entry and drive growth. This is a rare, career-defining opportunity to be backed by a highly respected organisation and to become the face of its premium funding offering in New Zealand.

This is a true hunter role, with full end-to-end accountability. You will introduce the business to the NZ insurance market, open doors through your reputation and network, convert relationships into long-term partnerships, and play a pivotal role in shaping the business locally.

As the sole representative in the market, you will have full ownership of establishing the brand, building broker relationships, and creating a sustainable client portfolio from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Introduce a new premium funding offering to the New Zealand insurance broker market.

  • Establish brand presence and credibility with small to mid-sized insurance brokerages.

  • Leverage existing broker relationships to generate new business opportunities.

  • Convert industry connections into long-term, high-value broker partnerships.

  • Own all new business development activity, end to end.

  • Act as the local market representative and trusted industry partner.

  • Deliver a consistently high standard of service aligned with a relationship-led business model.

  • Provide product and system training to broker partners.

  • Share market insights to inform broader growth and expansion strategy.

  • Maintain accurate records of business development and account activity.

  • Attend industry and networking events and functions.

  • Travel nationally, with occasional travel to Australia.

You will bring:

  • A strong background in the insurance industry (essential).

  • An established and respected network within the NZ insurance broker market.

  • Proven success in new business development / hunting sales roles.

  • The credibility to open doors based on your reputation and industry connections.

  • Experience working with, or alongside premium funding solutions (highly regarded).

  • The ability to operate autonomously, with drive, discipline, and strong commercial acumen.

  • A mindset focused on building long-term relationships.


You may currently be a highly sales-focused Underwriter, a senior BDM, or an experienced insurance professional ready to step into a broader, more entrepreneurial role.
