Carpenter

ZY House Ltd Introduction: 

ZY House Limited, established in 2021, specializes in professional house construction, residential renovations, and repair services across the Auckland region. We are currently seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team and contribute to the smooth and efficient completion of our projects.

What we offer:

A Full-time permanent role - 40 minimum guaranteed work hour per week

The rate of pay or salary: $29.00 to $31.50 per hour, based on relevant experience and skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, timber, and other materials according to specifications. 
• Construct and install building frameworks, walls, floors, doors, windows, roofing, and fixtures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical plans.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Assist with formwork and concrete preparation as needed.
• Work collaboratively with other team members, tradespeople, and site supervisors.
• Ensure all work complies with building codes, health and safety regulations, and company standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
• Perform other general construction duties as required. 

Requirements and skills:

• At least two years of demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably within residential or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools. 
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Good physical condition and ability to perform manual labor.
• Able to work at heights for the installation of elevated decks.
• Familiar with construction site safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to speak Cantonese or Mandarin is a real bonus as our primary clients come from the Asian market, particularly Chinese clients. We will certainly consider all candidates.
• Availability to work in weekends and public holidays when required
• A valid driver’s licence is required, and the role requires driving to job sites.
