On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Outboard Technician to join their Gulf Harbour branch. This is a long-term opportunity with a well-respected brand, working on premium outboards in a modern, well-equipped workshop.

About the Role

Service, diagnose and repair outboard engines from leading brands, including Yamaha | Mercury | MerCruiser

You will work alongside experienced technicians in a supportive, structured environment, delivering high-quality service to leisure and commercial boat owners.

Key responsibilities:

  • Servicing, fault-finding, and repair of outboard engines

  • Diagnostics using OEM software and tooling

  • Pre-delivery inspections and commissioning

  • Accurate recording of service and job details

  • Following safety, warranty, and quality standards

About You

You are a hands-on marine technician with a strong outboard background and take pride in quality workmanship.

  • Proven experience with Yamaha, Mercury or MerCruiser outboards

  • Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills

  • Full NZ driver’s licence

  • Professional attitude and good communication skills

  • Happy to have a pre-employment medical and Police Check

Brand training or manufacturer certifications are highly regarded, but not essential for the right candidate.
