We, Futuregen Construction Ltd, are looking for an experienced plumber assistant to install, maintain and repair sanitation units, water and gas supply lines, heating systems, and associated fixtures and appliances in residential, commercial, and industrial structures invarious construction projects in Auckland, New Zealand.

∙ Employment type: Permanent 

∙ Days required: 6 days 

∙ Hours per week: minimum of 38 hours a week is guaranteed, maximumof 50 hours per week 

∙ Hourly rate: $29.66– 35.00 depends on the experiences and level

Job description: 

  • Packing and sorting plumbing equipment for each job.
  • Locating pipe leaks and preparing the work area.
  • Fetching tools and buying additional stock and equipment.
  • Cutting open walls and structures to expose pipes.
  • Installing garbage disposals.
  • Adjusting water pressure valves.
  • Assisting the Master Plumber with plumbing installations and repairs.
  • Replacing faucet washers and toilet wax rings.
  • Measuring, cutting, and threading pipes.
  • Installing gutters, drainpipes, and runoff systems 

Job pre-requisites: 

  • Proven experience as Plumber Assistant or relevant at least 2 years is required
  • Good working knowledge of water supply and heating systems.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and using plumbing tools.
  • Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good listening and communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and patience.
  • Physical dexterity.
