HEXTEX CONSTRUCTION LTD is a fast-growing construction company. We are expanding our team and looking for three experienced Carpenters to support ongoing and upcoming projects in Canterbury (Christchurch). This is an excellent opportunity to join a developing company with long-term prospects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all aspects of carpentry work on construction sites
  • Reviewing plans, drawings, and specifications accurately
  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials
  • Ensure work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with building codes
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely
  • Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite

Skills and Experience

  • At least two years of relevant work experience in the same field OR;
  • A minimum relevant NZQCF Level 4 qualifications or above
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual work
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
