Carpenter

PRIME BUILD CONSTRUCTION LIMITED is seeking skilled Carpenters to join its team in Auckland. The ideal candidate will have relevant carpentry experience and be available to travel across the region as required. Travel and fuel expenses will be covered by the employer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine project specifications, materials, and installation methods.
• Measure, cut, and assemble timber accurately to construct building frameworks, walls, doors, windows, decking, and fencing.
• Source and select timber and building materials to meet the specific needs of each project.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance on existing structures and fittings when required.
  Build and install structural components, including roofing frameworks, flooring, and wall partitions, following safety and building regulations.
• Create and connect wood joints, and secure parts using nails, screws, brackets, or other hardware.
• Perform regular maintenance to ensure the longevity and durability of constructed elements.
• Construct wood-based structures and fixtures with precision, ready for installation.
• Conduct site inspections, identify issues, and complete or report necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Support project completion by performing additional carpentry or site-related tasks as needed.

Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and you will be paid between $32 to $37 per hour.

Other Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience or at least a relevant Level 4 qualification.
• Willingness to work weekends as required.
• Physically fit and able to perform labour-intensive tasks.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
