Target Cleaning Supplies is a long-established supplier of commercial cleaning products, equipment, and essential consumables to business clients across Auckland. The company services a broad portfolio of regular trade customers and works closely with internal sales, logistics, and operations teams to ensure service consistency and long-term client relationships.

 

About the Role

This role is responsible for planning, managing, and continuously improving the company’s customer service operations and service delivery framework. The Customer Service Manager operates at a business-wide management level, with responsibility for customer service strategy, service standards, and customer relationship outcomes.

 

This is not a frontline or purely operational role, but a management position focused on service planning, policy development, performance monitoring, and cross-team coordination.

 

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and review customer service policies, procedures, and service standards across the organisation

- Plan and oversee customer service strategies and after-sales service frameworks aligned with business objectives

- Analyse customer service performance, client feedback, and service data to identify improvement opportunities

- Provide management oversight of customer service functions, ensuring consistent service quality across all clients

- Lead, mentor, and develop customer service staff and supervisors

- Establish service KPIs and reporting mechanisms, and present service performance insights to senior management

- Liaise with internal departments to ensure coordinated service delivery

- Manage escalated customer matters and oversee long-term customer relationship management initiatives

- Contribute to organisational planning and service capability development

 

Skills and Experience Required

Essential:

-A qualification equivalent to a New Zealand Level 6 Diploma or higher, in Management, Operations Management, or a closely related field.

-At least 1 year of relevant customer-service or client-facing work experience.

-Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive customer relationships.

-Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.

-Basic computer literacy (email, MS Office, data entry).

 

Desirable:

-Experience within product supply, warehousing, logistics, cleaning products, or service coordination roles.

-Familiarity with stock control, order processing, or health and safety procedures.

- Hourly rate: NZD $34–$36 per hour

- Guaranteed 35–40 hours per week
