About the role:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Operator to support warehouse and operations within a production and logistics environment. This role involves the safe operation of forklifts to move, load, unload, and store goods, as well as general warehousing and dispatch duties to ensure the efficient flow of products through the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts to safely load, unload, stack, and transport goods within warehouse, yard, and production areas
  • Manage the movement of products from storage locations to staging and dispatch areas
  • Prepare, stage, and secure goods for dispatch, ensuring accuracy of quantities and condition of products
  • Load outbound vehicles using forklifts, ensuring goods are correctly positioned and safely secured
  • Receive incoming goods, unload deliveries, and check items against delivery documentation
  • Store goods in designated locations to support efficient stock control and order fulfilment
  • Conduct quality checks on goods during handling to identify damage or discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate records of stock movements and dispatch documentation
  • Coordinate with warehouse, production, and transport teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely dispatch
  • Conduct visual pre-start safety checks of forklifts and report any faults or safety concerns
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and comply with company and site health & safety requirements

What we’re looking for

  • Current forklift licence or demonstrated experience operating forklifts
  • Three years’ experience relevant experience
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and able to follow procedures and instruction

We guarantee to offer a minimum of 30 hours of work per week. These roles require workers to be available for work in Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke’s Bay, Manawatū-Whanganui, Wellington, Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Northland, Gisborne, Taranaki, and Southland. When workers are required to travel, appropriate travel and accommodation expenses will be provided.
