Requirements 

• At least 2 years of experience in Thai massage, OR

• A Thai Massage Qualification of 150 hours or more, OR

• The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage), OR

• Related qualifications (NZ Register Diploma or higher; overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of New Zealand qualifications).

Job Descriptions

  • Assessing clients’ physical condition, muscle function, joint mobility and soft tissue status through consultation and palpation prior to treatment

  • Developing and implementing appropriate massage treatment plans based on individual client needs and presenting conditions

  • Applying a range of therapeutic massage techniques to treat muscular tension, soft tissue dysfunction and circulatory issues, including Thai massage, Thai oil massage, lymphatic drainage massage, hot stone therapy, and aromatherapy massage

  • Performing sports massage to assist with injury prevention, muscle recovery, improved flexibility and enhancement of athletic performance

  • Providing remedial-style massage focused on relieving pain, reducing muscle stiffness, improving range of movement and supporting the body’s natural healing processes

  • Advising clients on post-treatment care, including stretching routines, relaxation techniques and lifestyle practices to maintain treatment outcomes

  • Maintaining accurate client records, treatment notes and hygiene standards in accordance with professional practice requirements

  • Working independently to manage client appointments, treatment preparation and professional responsibilities in a reliable and ethical manner

Other detail 

• This is a full-time and permanent position

•Wage payment between $27 - $35 per hour, depending on your experience and skills. You will be paid weekly.

• Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law

• You will work according to a roster for 5 to 6 days each week, with a guarantee of 30 hours (a maximum of 48 hours)

• Location of work: 1225 Fenton Street, Rotorua
