Three Welder positions available for trucking business to work on everyday repairs and maintenance of the fleet. Location will be at our site yard on 354 porchestor road, takanini. 

 

Morning shift: 2 Positions 7a.m - 3.00 pm Monday to saturday 

Evening shift :1 Position 2.00pm - 10.00pm Monday to Friday 

The position is on a fixed weekly roster  for both morning an evening shifts. 

Job Description 

  • Perform welding, cutting and fabrication on transport vehicles and equipment( eg: chassis. frames, panels, exhaust systems) 
  • Use welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, ARC and gas welding as required. 
  • Repair structural and non-structural metal components damages through wear, corrosion or accidents 
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and specifications 
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure strenghth, accuiracy and compliance with standards 
  • operate weilding tools, cutting equipments , grinders and hand tools safely
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures 
  • Maintain the welding equipment and report faults or maintenance needs 
  • Work closely with mechanics and supervisors ti complete jobs efficiently 
  • Ensure compliance with transport industry regulations and company quality standards
