Salon Manager

T's Nails is a busy nail salon located at 206 King Edward St, Dunedin.

With rapid business growth and increasing customer demand, Tiffany Nails and Beauty Limited is looking for a Qualified Salon Manager with beauty therapy skills to support daily operations and lead our friendly, professional team.

The starting wage is $30-$35 per hour (depending on experience and skills). You will work  with minimum 30 hours per week. 

Key Responsibilities

Salon Operations & Management

• Oversee the daily operation of two nail salons to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.

• Supervise, motivate, and support team members to maintain high-quality service standards.

• Manage staff roster, attendance, performance, and training when required.

• Monitor stock levels, chemical usage, and equipment maintenance; place orders when necessary.

• Ensure uniform and personal appearance of all staff remain professional and compliant with company standards.

• Ensure workplace cleanliness, safety, hygiene, and compliance with health regulations.

Customer Service

• Demonstrate outstanding customer service to exceed guest expectations.

• Handle customer enquiries, bookings, feedback, and conflict resolution professionally.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships to increase customer retention and repeat business.

• Promote and upsell services and products where appropriate.

Nail Technician and Beatuty Therapy Duties

• Provide professional nail services including:

  • Manicure & pedicure

  • Acrylic, gel, SNS nail systems

  • Nail art, nail repair

  • Hair removal (Body and facial waxing)

  • Body massage

• Use salon chemicals correctly and safely for all nail treatments.

• Clean, sanitize, and maintain all tools and equipment after each service.

• Ensure all nail treatments follow strict hygiene and safety protocols.

Business Development

• Assist in implementing promotions, marketing campaigns, and customer engagement activities.

• Support proactive client development while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.

• Contribute ideas to improve salon performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Other Duties

• Perform any other reasonable tasks required by the employer to support salon operations.

Working Hours

Minimum 30 hours guaranteed per week. 

Skills & Requirements

• At least two years of proven experience as a Nail Technician or as a Salon Supervisor/Manager, along with a relevant Level 4 Beauty Therapy qualification (or an equivalent qualification).

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage staff and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of salon chemicals, hygiene, and safety procedures.

• Friendly, positive, and team-oriented attitude.

• Ability to work roster shifts, weekends, and extend hours when required.
