Rooney Earthmoving Ltd is a large family-owned South Island business with work bases in Invercargill, Oamaru, Waimate, Timaru, Ashburton and Christchurch. We have been around for over 49 years and have become a trusted, progressive brand in the civil construction industry.

We are currently recruiting for a Heavy Transporter Driver to join our Christchurch team, supporting equipment shifts throughout the South Island.

Due to recent changes, we are looking to appoint a skilled class 5 driver who have attributes including:

  • Qualified class 5 licence with current BESS and Pilot qualifications.
  • Competent to self-load with a range of earthmoving kit.
  • Can look after the equipment, have a good driving record and up to date NZTA permit knowledge.
  • Experienced at moving very large loads on NZ local roads.
  • Willing to be flexible when the work varies.
