AK Developers Limited is seeking Painters to join its team in the Auckland region. Ideal candidates should be reliable, detail-oriented, and efficient, with the ability to consistently deliver quality workmanship.
The role involves travel within the Auckland region, with all work-related travel and fuel costs covered by the employer.
Key Duties:
- Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling, smoothing, and priming as required.
- Mix and apply paints, coatings, and finishes using appropriate methods, including brushing, rolling, and spraying, to achieve the required finish.
- Apply paints, sealants, and protective coatings to a range of surfaces in accordance with job requirements and specifications.
- Read and interpret work instructions, plans, or specifications to determine materials, tools, and painting methods.
- Carry out painting work on residential sites, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Set up and use ladders, platforms, or scaffolding safely when required for access to work areas.
- Clean, maintain, and store painting tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organised manner.
- Identify surface defects or maintenance issues and report them to the supervisor as required.
- Work cooperatively with other trades and team members to meet project timelines and site requirements.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and ensure work is completed efficiently and to an acceptable standard.
The candidate will be required to work at least 30 hours per week and be paid between $30 to $35 per hour.
