We are looking for carpenters to carry out works in open spaces in the parks and reserves of the Auckland Council.

The job is full time with a minimum of 32 working hours per week.
The applicant must be either a resident or have a valid work visa.
The applicant is expected to be qualified in the building trade and have skills that enable him or her to work independantly; with the ability to manage a small group of hammerhands or labourers looked at favourably. Being LBP registered is not a requirement of this position. It is essential that the applicant has experience in working with all the normal hand and power tools commensurate with the carpentry trade including the use of digital measuring and leveling devices.
A key task will be the ability to read plans and set out the job using profiles accurately. Formwork and piling experience will also be looked apon favourably. Another important ability is to speak clearly and consisely as often interaction with the general public is an ongoing issue within the parks and reserves environment.
