The Green Room Flower Company is boutique florist based in Wanaka. We work creatively with
fresh seasonal blooms every day to bring you wonderfully unique flower arrangements that are
sure to impress. We also specialise in weddings and events and can cater for all occasions in the
Central Lakes district.
We require a Marketing Manager to increase our sales through a combination of digital marketing
and social media enhancement, and partnership, events and community engagement.
Role Purpose
This role leads the marketing, branding, and digital communication for the business. The position
ensures consistent brand identity, strong customer engagement, and high-quality visual
representation across floral work, weddings, events, and studio activity.
Hours of work
Must be available to work during business hours – Monday to Sunday 8am to 8pm. Must be
available to work during public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Marketing and Brand Management
● Develop and implement the company marketing strategy, including goals, customer targeting,
brand positioning, and competitor awareness.
● Maintain and evolve brand identity across all digital and physical platforms.
● Manage marketing budgets and monitor campaign performance.
● Establish and track KPIs for brand awareness, digital engagement, enquiries, and campaign
outcomes.
2. Digital Marketing and Content Creation
● Plan, create, and schedule social media content across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and
other channels.
● Analyse digital performance and optimise engagement and reach.
● Develop and run paid online advertising campaigns.
● Produce photography and videography for brand, studio, weddings, and event content.
● Edit and create visual assets using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
3. Floral and Creative Design
● Oversee and direct creative styling of florals for content production, editorial shoots, studio
displays, weddings, and events.
● Ensure floral styling aligns with brand aesthetic, colour palettes, and creative direction.
● Assist with visual merchandising and on-brand presentation in the studio.
4. Email Marketing and CRM
● Build and manage email campaigns and automations through Klaviyo or similar platforms.
● Review audience behaviour and refine messaging, content, and segmentation.
5. Partnerships, Events, and Community Engagement
● Coordinate collaborations with local vendors, creatives, and community partners.
● Support brand-driven events, launches, markets, and promotional activities.
6. Reporting and Continuous Improvement
● Provide regular reporting on marketing performance, engagement, and campaign outcomes.
● Review trends and insights and adjust strategies and visuals accordingly.
Minimum Experience/Qualifications
● A relevant bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in business, marketing etc. Must include or
have undertaken coursework in visual arts or design.
● Photography, videography, and editing experience.
● Hands-on floral design or floral styling experience, ideally in weddings or events.
● Experience in retail floristry or wedding studio workflows is an advantage.
