We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-oriented fleet-manager to kickstart
and lead our car rental company.


As a fleet manager you will be responsible for the daily operation of our fleet and the car
rental company. You will also be tasked to organise and control the buying and selling of
vehicles in order to grow our fleet. You will liaise with our core client base, from German
speaking countries and organise the rental services for them. It is therefore important that
you are fluent in German. Previous experience in transportation, fleet management, engineering, transport engineering is a great advantage.


Your key responsibilities:

  • - Manage and maintain the current fleet of vehicles.
  • - Organise maintenance and repair of the fleet vehicles.
  • - Liaise with other service providers and establish/maintain long-term supplier
    relationship.
  • - Manage the rental calendar for all vehicles and liaise with German speaking
    clients (receiving client enquiries and bookings).
  • - Planning and implementing transportation schedules between Auckland and
    Tauranga.
  • - Ensure road safety briefing is provided for every client engagement.
  • - Develop safety standards, policies, or procedures particularly for overseas
    clients.
  • - Liaise with clients and insurers if vehicles are damaged during the rental period.
  • - Maintain business records and prepare operational statements and reports relating to the car rental payables and receivables.

You will also have an opportunity to be an integral part in the business growth and
strategic planning activities.


Experience needed for this position:

  • - Strong client facing expertise.
  • - Native like fluency in German is essential for this position.
  • - This position is based partially in the office and has a large component of
    vehicle care, it is therefore necessary to be experienced in the automotive
    industry.

To be considered for this position you should possess:

  • - Proven experience in the in the automotive industry either as a fleet manager orengineering or in automotive industry (minimum 3 years).
  • - A bachelor’s degree in engineering, transport, management or tourism related field.
  • - Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • - Strong interpersonal skills and client centric focus.
  • - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
  • - Financial literacy and the ability to drive our company’s revenue growth and sales.
  • - The ability to thrive under pressure and a resilient attitude.
