This role is one of our qualified joiners and is responsible for ensuring the work assigned is completed to a high standard of workmanship and within the allocated time.
There is a range of work from repair work to the production of doors, windows, cabinets, stairs and other fixtures as required. The joiner must have the skills and experience (proficient in the use of electrical, hand and measurement tools) to ensure that this variety of work is able to be completed.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete the assigned work.
- Minimise mistakes and wastage.
- Liaise with our in-house sales and design team.
- Work in a safe manner at all times to ensure the Health & Safety of themselves and others in the workshop.
Expected Outcomes
- A high standard of work across a range of formats is completed within the allocated time.
- A wide range of work is able to be completed at the same high standard.
- Very low level of waste product or having to repeat work.
- Assist the design team where required to get the best outcome for our customers. No lost time injuries.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- Trade qualified.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents.
- Methodical working style with excellent eye for detail.
- Ability to plan, project manage and problem solve.
- Physically fit – able to stand for prolonged periods, lift heavy objects.
- Good communication and time management skills.
Good to have:
- HT and/ or Forklift licence

OTHER:
The successful application will have to be a New Zealand citizen or able to demonstrate the ability to work in New Zealand for a two year period.
A current New Zealand driver’s licence is required.
This position is based in Alexandra - the heart of the amazing Central Otago District and is a
full-time (40-44hrs weekly) week-day role.
On occasions, the joiner may be required to assist the Company’s contract installers with the installation of joinery at the customer’s work site.
Qualified joiners are also expected to be role models for apprentices and may need to assist/ train the apprentices when necessary.
